Zhonghai Bridge exports double layered single row reinforced 200 type galvanized Bailey bridge to Indonesia

In May 2026, a double-layer single row reinforced 200 type galvanized Bailey bridge manufactured and exported to Indonesia by Zhonghai Bridge Equipment Co., Ltd. was successfully erected locally and passed rigorous traffic tests recently, receiving unanimous praise from the purchaser. This 30 meter long prefabricated steel bridge, with its excellent structural performance and anti-corrosion technology, has become another benchmark project in the field of infrastructure cooperation between China and India.
It is reported that the main body of the bridge adopts the national standard "200 type" Bailey panel combined with "reinforced chord ", forming a high stiffness box section structure through double-layer stacking and single row horizontal connection. Compared to traditional single-layer Bailey bridges, this design doubles the overall bending stiffness and load-bearing capacity of the bridge, making it easy to meet the traffic needs of heavy-duty trucks and high-frequency traffic flow in Indonesia. In response to the maritime climate characteristics of high temperature, high humidity, heavy rain, and strong salt spray invasion in Indonesia, Zhonghai Bridge has implemented hot-dip galvanizing anti-corrosion treatment on all steel structures of the bridge. This process not only gives the bridge a silver gray metallic texture, but also effectively isolates corrosive media, ensuring that the bridge has a long service life and low maintenance costs in harsh environments.
During the project implementation, Zhonghai Bridge fully leveraged the efficient advantages of "Made in China" technology. Based on the modular and standardized design features of Bailey Bridge, the project team has developed a refined installation plan. From the arrival of the components by sea to on-site assembly, hoisting and installation, the entire process only took a few days, minimizing interference with existing local traffic to the greatest extent possible. In the subsequent traffic test, the technical team conducted a comprehensive inspection of the bridge's linearity, weld quality, and dynamic response, and all indicators exceeded the design requirements, successfully passing the acceptance inspection.
