Foundation inspection
- **Check foundation settlement**: Check whether the foundation structures such as the piers and abutments of the Bailey bridge have uneven settlement. If the foundation is found to have obvious sinking or tilting, timely measures should be taken to reinforce or adjust it.
- **Check foundation stability**: Observe whether there is water accumulation around the foundation, hollowing caused by erosion, and check whether the connection between the foundation and the surrounding soil or structure is firm.


Structural inspection
- **Check Bailey plate connection**: Carefully check the connection parts of each Bailey plate to check whether the pins, bolts and other connectors are loose, falling off or damaged. If there is any looseness, tighten or replace it in time.
- **Check the bridge deck**: Check whether the bridge deck has cracks, deformation, warping or displacement. If damage is found, it should be repaired or replaced in time.
- **Check overall structural deformation**: Observe the overall shape of the Bailey bridge from a distance to check whether there is obvious deformation, twisting or tilting. If there is any abnormality, further check the cause and take corresponding reinforcement measures.
